As early as 1904 Lennox started selling heaters to installing contractors and later introduced a forced-air furnace for residential heating.
- In 1943 Lennox turns its factories over to the war effort for WW II.
- In 1952 Lennox introduces the residential central air-conditioning system and in 1973 increased air conditioning efficiency with the development of the two-speed hermetically sealed compressor.
- In 1982 Lennox developed and manufactured the industry’s first high-efficiency gas furnace and in 1994 markets gas fireplaces.
- In 2003 LII introduces the industry's quietest, most efficient air conditioner and the industry's quietest gas furnace and the list goes on…
