Thermostats are the sensors that monitor and control the output of an air conditioner, heater or heat pump system. They are available with a variety of features. Most today have a digital display, some are programmable, others are not. Some dislpay room temperature only, others include the outdoor temperature, and the indoor or outdoor humidity. Some control the indoor humidity and you can enter a personal humidity setting to which the system will control. Some use batteries, some don’t so you never have to change them. Some have wires, some are wireless. That’s right…Wireless. If you don’t think the temperature is being measured at the best location in the home, you can move a wireless thermostat to keep it out of sunlight or drafts, or use the Portable Comfort Control to set the temperature where you are sitting. And there is even a high-definition digital thermostat if high resolution graphics appeals to you. Some have buttons, some have switches, some have touch-screens to turn things on and off.
Ask one of our Comfort Specialists to show you models available that are compatible with your home heating and cooling system. Please note, some systems features will only work with the manufacturer's thermostat provided with the system.
